- Find a spare PC or Virtualisation Environment
- BOOT from ISO
- Answer install questions
- Reboot PC or VM

- turn off LVM
- turn off FireWall
- turn off SE-LINUX
- install X
- dont install gnome or kde
- dont install mail (sendmail)
- install legacy development (compat-*)
post installation tweaks
- yum install postfix
- yum install xfdesktop xfce-utils
- yum install yumex
- yum update
post installation virtual machine tweaks
Remove the following services from your InitScript- smartd
- irqbalance
- microcode_ctl
- cpuspeed
